A number of Valletta Waterfront restaurants were awarded the prestigious Blue Riband Award: Pintonino Restaurant ; Nan Yuan Cantonese Restaurant; Brown’s Restaurant; Q Bar & Restaurant and Pepe Nero.
Pintonino and Pepe Nero have retained the WRMC Blue Riband Award from 2014 and have been presented with the WRMC Blue Riband Plaque to display along with the 2014 certificate.
Nan Yuan, Brown’s and QBar & Restaurant have been conferred with the WRMC Blue Riband award this year and were presented with the 2015 certificate.

All Valletta Waterfront restaurants have been under adjudication during 2014, and the inspections were completed by the 15th of January, 2015, by initial survey teams as well as by appointed, professional, anonymous inspectors, to arrive at the final decisions on the finalists. Inspections and adjudication are carried out in the most professional and internationally accepted manner and quality assurance criteria, which takes into consideration the complete dining experience with adjudication targeting primarily: cuisine quality – freshness of ingredients; preparation and presentation of individual dishes; attention to detail, use of fresh seasonal ingredients and taste; harmony of menu and concept; ambience; atmosphere and decor of both the al fresco as well as the internal restaurants; cleanliness and condition of restrooms; management – attitude and attention to clients’ needs; service – individual waiter service and efficiency; wine list – choice of good wines and reasonable mark-ups especially on local wines; overall value for menu.
